CLINICS
TRAVEL VACCINES AND ADVICE
The nurses are able to offer current travel advice re vaccinations necessary to visit other countries. Vaccines recommended by the NHS are readily available. We also do all children's immunisations. Also available if required, but subject to
a fee, are the following:
Hepatitis B, Japanese Encephalitis, rabies vaccine, meningitis vaccine (for travellers) and malaria tablets.
MEDICALS
The doctors are often requested to carry out medical checks for patients. These are in addition to their normal consultancy hours and therefore are fitted in by the doctors, usually before a
normal surgery. Please telephone well in advance to book a medical so that a convenient time can be arranged. Please also enquire whether a fee is payable. (Insurance medicals are usually paid for by the
insurance companies.)
PATIENTS OVER 75 YEARS OF AGE
If they have not had cause to attend the surgery within the last year, patients over the age of 75 years can request a health check, which will be carried out by a nurse. Please advise the
receptionists when requesting a health check so that they can allow sufficient time with the nurse, and tell you what you need to bring with you.
DIETETICS
An NHS Dietician attends at the surgery weekly on Thursday
mornings.
