This website is designed to give you and your family all the information you require about the practice.
Our aim is to provide a high standard of care in all areas of family medicine and to provide time in consultations for patients to talk and discuss any aspects of their treatment or care.

ABOUT US

The practice partnership has evolved in Dunmow over many years, moving from the High Street to its new purpose-built premises some 18 years ago. We are a six partner dispensing practice in this semi-rural market town. We have active health promotion schemes and a very good primary care team.

SURGERY TIMES

The surgery building is open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 6.30pm. (we do not close at lunchtime. The dispensary is open from Monday to Friday between 8.30am to 6.30pm for a counter and telephone service.

Doctors' usual consulting hours are 9.00 to 11.00am and 3.30 to 5.30pm.

DISABLED ACCESS

There is disabled access at the surgery. The pathway from the car park adjacent to the surgery has a slope but no steps. Cars bringing patients with poor mobility to the surgery can use the surgery car park. All patient areas and treatment rooms within the building are accessible by wheelchair. There are disabled toilet facilities.

HOSPITAL TRANSPORT

We are advised daily of missed hospital appointments. If you have problems attending the hospitals the following may be of use to you:

• NHS transport, car or ambulance can be provided free of charge should the doctor consider it medically necessary.
• Uttlesford Community Travel Scheme may be able to help. Telephone 01371 859559 between 1.30 and 3.30pm Monday to Friday.
• For the elderly, the local taxi companies take Travel Tokens in payment.
• Essex Busline 0870 608 2608 7.00am - 8.00pm. Local rate telephone helpline to advise which bus
to use, when and where, to get you to your hospital appointment.
