Advice for parents during coronavirus

Whilst coronavirus is infectious to children it is rarely serious. If your child is unwell it is likely to be a non-coronavirus illness, rather than coronavirus itself.

Whilst it is extremely important to follow Government advice to stay at home during this period, it can be confusing to know what to do when your child is unwell or injured. Remember that NHS 111, GPs and hospitals are still providing the same safe care that they have always done. Here is some advice to help: click here (PDF, 266KB)

The Dispensary would greatly appreciate your help at this difficult time

Please do not request more than 1 month’s supply of medication at a time.  Patients that request 2 months or more will only receive 1 months’ supply.  We are not able at this time to provide any extra medication.

Please allow extra time for your prescriptions to be processed, 3 working days if possible.  Please do not contact the surgery to ask if prescriptions are ready to collect.  If you have given the appropriate time for collection then your order will be ready to collect.  The dispensary telephone line is receiving a high volume of calls from patients making enquiries; this is taking up a lot of staff’s time which is needed in preparing patients prescriptions.

Thank you
