The Minor Eye Conditions Service (MECS) provides assessment and treatment for people with recently occurring minor eye problems. It is an NHS service provided by accredited optometrists (also commonly called opticians).

The practice will run through some questions to understand your symptoms better and look to arrange an appointment in an appropriate time scale.
It is possible the practice you contact may be unable to see you in the correct time scale, but they will find you an appointment with one of the other local practices.
This is not a walk-in service and requires an appointment but if you would prefer to visit a practice to arrange an appointment rather than telephone them you are welcome to do so.
