If you are travelling abroad you may need vaccinations. To find out what is required for the area you are travelling to, please print off, complete a Travel Risk Vaccination Form and return it to the surgery. Once this form has been received, a nurse form the surgery will detail any vaccinations that are recommended. Please could you contact the surgery 3 days after you have submitted the form to enquire what vaccinations are required. If you do need any for your vacation the receptionist will book you an appointment to come in to the surgery see the nurse. Please note, some vaccinations require two or three courses before you are fully covered. Therefore, please give enough time to return your forms for assessment before you travel.

Fit to travel letter
If you are requiring a “fit to travel” letter from a doctor please be aware this will attract a charge as it is not a service covered under our contract with the NHS. The fee payable will be dependant on what information the travel company require and whether a physical examination is necessary. We will be happy to advise you of the fee that will be applied upon seeing the documentation. Please ensure you advise us as soon as possible as it may take some time to arrange the necessary appointments and/or paperwork. Please be assured these fees are based on the British Medical Association suggested fee scales.
